puberty stages

We all of us would have come across this stage. Puberty is a period where lots of developments occur inside and outside the body of a child aged between 12 and 16. This is where the childhood stage ends and the adolescence begin. Boys always mature one year latter than girls. There are early measurers and slow measurers in both boys and girls. Actually secretion of hormone level from the pituitary gland is responsible for the maturation which is located below the brain. Pituitary gland produces are two hormones called Growth Hormone and Gonadotropic Hormone. Growth hormone is responsible for growth of bodily changes like breast, hip, public hair, body curves and so on in girls and change of voice, broad shoulder, waist, mustache and so on in boys. The Gonadotropic Hormone’s production level is high during this stage when compared with the early stage ie. Childhood and in the later stages. So as the level of this hormone increases in the body it stimulates the gonads (for males the Testes and for females its Ovaries) to increase its activity and this is how girls get their first menstruation cycle and boys get their first ejaculation. During middle age and in the upcoming stage the secretion of these hormones get reduced and so women faces her “Menopause” and men reaches his “Climacteric”.
